Over six hundred pottery works are on display at the museum in Mondovì, while further two thousand items are archived in its storage rooms. In the nineteenth century and in the first half of the twentieth, the industrial production of pottery was a strong feature of the culture and economy of Mondovì and of the surrounding towns. On the occasion of the reopening of the refurbished museum, Studio Azzurro created two multimedia rooms, choosing a playful interactive approach to inform visitors about the pottery works from the area.

In the first environment, a series of long tables and a vertical screen can be activated to discover several multimedia narrations. A small moving animal is projected on the surface of the tables and acts as an activation element to start out the tale of the phases of pottery-making.

The second room is furnished with five interactive lunch tables and a shelf with some pottery items. When visitors take an object and place it on the tablecloth on its projected image, the interactive table is animated. All of a sudden, the table is set, dishes are served and eaten, plates are taken away and further food is given to the virtual eaters. When the meal is over, all plates and cutleries are taken away, as well as the tablecloth. The table is now ready to be activated again, in order to discover the pottery from the museum in its use.
